Panel Discussion - What I Deserve?

  • The Meteor Theatre 1 Victoria Street Hamilton, Waikato, 3204 New Zealand (map)

Know your worth. Never settle for less than you deserve.

Know your worth. Never settle for less than you deserve.
A conversation on some of the many obstacles and issues women face in our homes and workplaces today. With health and domestic violence issues so common at home, and inequality, bullying, unconscious bias and lack of diversity at work, we examine what we can do, individually and collectively, to combat these. This panel is made up of some of Waikato's most passionate and committed wāhine that walk the talk every day.
Ruahine Albert from Te Whakaruruhau, Fariya Begum from Shama Women's Centre and Mel Martin from the Young Workers Resource Centre are panellists. DTI Lawyers are bringing their expertise too. Charlotte Isaac is facilitating and Andrea Twaddle, employment law expert is on the panel.

“It’s difficult to see the glass ceiling because it’s made of glass. Virtually invisible.
What we need is for more birds to fly above it and s**t all over it, so we can see it properly.”
— CAITLIN MORAN
